What does the job look like? Join our team as an Operations Supervisor, leading a dynamic group in a cross‑dock and transport‑focused environment. This role has evolved from a warehousing background to a position centred on transport, compliance, and operational excellence. You’ll be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting both company and contractor drivers. Key areas Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards. Monitor and analyse performance, developing action plans to address any gaps. Implement strategies for efficient scheduling and resource management. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including process standardisation and problem‑solving. Supervise team performance, work allocation, and adherence to service metrics. Manage fleet and equipment availability, asset reconciliation, and maintenance schedules. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies. Foster positive relationships with customers and resolve service queries promptly. Are you the one? As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our site. We are looking for someone who brings strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You can demonstrate Demonstrated experience in transport or warehouse operations, ideally within FMCG or retail. Proven ability to supervise staff and manage infrastructure or equipment. Strong understanding of budgeting, finance systems, and relevant workplace legislation. Experience in customer service and managing subcontractor relationships. Knowledge of safety, risk management, and compliance requirements. Effective communication and coaching skills, with a focus on safety and compliance.
