Job Description Supervising a HR team, this role will have both a 'hands‑on' and strategic element. Key responsibilities will include: Oversee daily HR operations, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and compliance standards. Manage complex employee relations and industrial relations matters effectively. Provide guidance and support to leaders on HR policies and workforce planning. Work collaboratively with union representatives to foster productive relationships. Develop and implement HR initiatives that support business objectives. Lead investigations and resolve workplace disputes in a fair and timely manner. Support operational leaders with performance management and people strategy. The Successful Applicant Our client is seeking a HR Manager with the confidence to operate autonomously and build relationships across an operational workforce. Key experience required includes: Demonstrated ability to manage complex ER and IR issues effectively. Experience working within a unionised workforce environment. In‑depth knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices. Strong communication and negotiation skills. A proactive approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making.
