Job Description Title: Database Administrator Occupation: Database Administrator (ANZSCO ) Salary: $76,515 – 80,000 plus super Hours: Full time Trading Name: Australian Higher Education Industrial Association Employer: Australian Higher Education Industrial Association Location: 7/520 Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000 Experience Required: Qualifications + min 1 year in a relevant role Visa Sponsorship: Nomination for temporary work visa and/or Permanent Residency will be considered for eligible candidates. Duties: Some of the duties you will be required to perform include Design and manage database structures, schemas and standards to maintain accurate and reliable master data. Oversee backup schedules, disaster recovery planning, and system security controls to ensure data protection and integrity. Test and evaluate database systems and upgrades, documenting issues, troubleshooting faults, and implementing resolutions. Manage relationships with security and IT service providers, including evaluating solutions and monitoring service performance. Maintain and optimise server, network and infrastructure performance; plan future capacity and recommend improvements to support organisational growth.
