Senior Network Security Engineer – Global Information Security, Sydney, Australia Bank of America invites applications for the Senior Network Security Engineer role in Sydney, Australia. This role is part of the Global Information Security team and focuses on researching, designing, engineering, implementing, and supporting network security solutions. Responsibilities Research, design, engineer, implement, and support network security solutions to meet business requirements. Utilize technical knowledge of Cisco ISE, advanced router/switch configuration, 802.11, and third‑party security controls to create secure solutions. Collaborate with cross‑regional experts and stakeholders, communicating effectively across cultures and time zones. Diagnose problems, develop solutions and workarounds, and evaluate technical feasibility against requirements. Coordinate delivery of project milestones, ensuring timely completion and escalation of roadblocks. Required Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity or engineering disciplines. Proven experience designing and deploying security solutions for Network Access Control, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, Proxies, DLP, DDoS, Malware inspection, and related technologies. Expertise with Cisco ISE, IEEE 802.1x, and Cisco routers/switches in medium to large deployments. Hands‑on experience with Cisco ISE, HPE/Aruba, Bluecoat, FortiGate, Checkpoint, Juniper, F5 ASM, and other third‑party controls. Knowledge of PKI/Certificate Authority infrastructure. Experience configuring Cisco ACS RADIUS and TACACS. Firewall lockdown experience & Splunk code development experience. Fortinet firewall policy architecture & engineering knowledge. Desired Qualifications Independent, creative thinker with strong problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity; professional demeanor in all situations. Attention to detail and thoroughness in work. Leadership skills to motivate teams and collaborate towards common goals. Familiarity with Bank of America engineering and architecture processes.
