Eurofins Environment Testing Australia is an Environmental testing network of fully accredited laboratories. With a staff of over 300, our laboratories are located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and our Client Service Offices are located in Adelaide, Darwin, Newcastle and Wollongong. We also operate field sampling services out of Melbourne and Sydney. We specialise in all areas of Environmental analysis, including Contaminated Soil, Sludge, Sediments, Leachate, Soil Vapour, Trade Waste Effluents, Sewage Effluents, Stack Emissions, Work Place Air, Ambient Air, Dust, Drinking Water, Surface Water run off, River & Stream Monitoring, Seawater, and Groundwater. Job Description Casual position based in Dandenong South, VIC. Shift times: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Reporting to the Team Leader, a Laboratory Technician (Sample Splitting Officer) is responsible for the sub‑sampling and weigh‑out of samples, and transfer to the prep laboratory for extraction. Other duties include assisting with sample receipt as necessary. Hands‑on splitting and preparation of environmental samples, including water, soil, and other matrices for laboratory analysis. Using the LIMS priority worklist to determine which job is next in priority for processing and printing out stickers for each container or sub‑sample required. Homogenising and weighing subsamples, and performing QA/QC. Transfer of subsamples to the appropriate laboratory section. Assist with sample receipt, sample disposal and general housekeeping. Act in accordance with the Eurofins Code of Ethics, and all other relevant policies and procedures, as updated from time to time.
