Act as the in‑house senior analyst responsible for incident investigation, cyber change risk assessment, and escalation management while working closely with an external SOC and internal operational teams. You won’t be confined to alert triage; instead, you’ll be making risk‑based decisions that directly influence how technology changes are delivered across the business. You’ll gain deep exposure to OT‑aware cyber operations, high‑volume change environments, and cloud and network security tooling that materially strengthens your career profile. The autonomy, visibility, and trust that come with this role build the foundations for progression into cyber operations leadership or specialist senior roles. About the role This position reports into the Cyber Security Operations Lead and operates as the senior in‑house cyber analyst. You’ll work closely with an external SOC partner with a clearly defined split between outsourced monitoring and in‑house investigation, risk assessment, and decision‑making. Internally, you’ll partner with infrastructure, cloud, networking, and site‑based IT and OT teams to ensure cyber risk is assessed before changes go live. The goal of the role is to ensure cyber security is embedded into operational decision‑making without slowing delivery or compromising safety. Duties Triage and investigate escalated cyber incidents and alerts Review cyber‑related change requests and assess risk before implementation Advise the Cyber Security Operations Lead on impact and mitigation Ensure cyber review occurs prior to production changes Skills / experience Senior cyber security analyst experience within an OT environment Strong background in Azure, cloud, and network security Hands‑on experience with SIEM and EDR platforms Experience operating alongside an external SOC Ability to work independently in high‑change environments Technical environment CrowdStrike Splunk FortiGate firewalls VMware infrastructure ServiceNow for change and incident workflows Company & culture You’ll be joining an organisation operating in a complex, safety‑critical environment where cyber security is tightly integrated with operational decision‑making.
