The role will offer a unique opportunity to support the team through year‑end deliverables, providing legal advice on complex technology engagements, data privacy compliance, AI governance, and cybersecurity matters. This is a full‑time role, 5 days per week (hybrid) commencing in November, and can be based in Sydney. Key Responsibilities Offer legal insights on data protection and privacy regulations as they relate to strategic business initiatives and technology implementations. Address legal, governance, and regulatory issues related to artificial intelligence. Support the legal team in managing cybersecurity‑related legal issues, including incident response protocols, breach notification obligations, and contractual protections. Provide strategic legal guidance on regulatory expectations and help develop risk mitigation frameworks to address cybersecurity challenges within the financial services sector. About You A minimum of 3–5 years PQE in IT projects, procurement, outsourcing, IP, data, and privacy. Ability to assess complex legal issues and provide clear, commercially viable solutions. Experience in providing legal support in financial services, public sector finance, or technology industry legal matters. Expert drafting and negotiation skills across complex commercial and financial agreements. Deep expertise in cybersecurity and AI. Strong understanding of legal frameworks in the financial services industry.
