Your contribution to the team includes The role of Women’s Football Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in the administrative and operational delivery of the Club’s AFLW and VFLW programs. The role manages the VFLW Program as the Head VFLW, supported by the General Manager Women’s Football. The position also collaborates closely with coaches, players, support staff, and external stakeholders to uphold governance standards, enhance program efficiency, and contribute to the overall success of Women’s Football at the Club. This Role Is Also Responsible For Partner with the General Manager of Women’s Football to oversee the operational management of support staff within the women’s football programs, including recruitment, onboarding and cross‑departmental alignment. Provide support as required to the General Manager Women’s Football to support initiatives that align with the women’s football strategic plan and performance objectives. Manage day‑to‑day operations requirements within both AFLW and VFLW football programs. Prepare, manage, execute and communicate all team and staff travel, including booking and coordinating team accommodation, flights, bus/care hire, and parking. Coordinate AFLW/VFLW Match Day operations, including submission of team sheets, logistics, facilities, post‑match meals, ticketing, PMR, umpire and opposition requirements. Liaise with Club’s Football Facilities Manager to ensure appropriate scheduling for women’s training and matches at Whitten Oval – including establishing a weekly facilities schedule for the women’s football programs for off‑season, pre‑season, and in‑season periods. Manage the property function, ensuring staff and players uniforms are ordered and distributed. Act as the designated AFL Drug Liaison Officer for Western Bulldogs Women’s program. Manage AFLW player appearances with key club administration staff e.g. sponsorship and commercial. In collaboration with the General Manager Women’s Football, oversee budgeting, re‑forecasting, invoicing, and expense coding for both AFLW and VFLW football programs. Support end‑of‑season review, collating feedback from players and staff. Assist playing group with any ad hoc requirements. Lead collaboration across the Football Department and broader Club functions by actively participating in weekly administration meetings, football department forums, and representing the Women’s program in cross‑functional working groups. Manage and support the VFLW Operations Coordinator and property personnel. Skills and experience Tertiary Qualification in Business or equivalent (desirable). Prior experience in an AFL environment as well as the AFL Player Rules & Regulations. Senior Management experience in AFL Football or similar professional sporting organisation. High‑level communication & Consultation skills. Public Speaking. Financial management and operational budget experience.
