Services at thefacility include, but not limited to - customer service, littermanagement, supervision of recycling processes, maintenance ofsignage, maintenance of hazardous waste collection sheds,supervision of the public at the Transfer Station, operation of theGatehouse, operation of plant and any other duties as required forthe operation of the facility. Theposition will also provide support to the Collection Section(Operating Waste Collection Vehicle – Sidearm) and GatehouseOperations when directed by the Supervisor in the case ofemergencies, sick and annual leave. Thisrole is located on Magnetic Island and will be required toparticipate in rostered weekend work as required. Hours ofWork Week 1 -Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 8am to 1pm (5hrs/day), Start and finishtimes negotiable Week 2 -Tuesday, 7am to 4pm (8.50hrs/day), Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 8am to 1pm (5hrs/day), Start and finish times negotiable for Monday,Wednesday and Friday only AboutYou Mandatoryrequirements include: Current "HR"class driver's licence Front EndLoader Ticket (LL) Other requirementsinclude: Ability tooperate, maintain and clean transfer station, associatedfacilities, and storage locations to a highstandard. Assistcustomers to utilize facilities to maximise waste diversion andenhance resource recovery. Computer skillsas required to operate weighbridge software and associatedtechnology. Workingknowledge of the operating requirements of selected wastedisposal plant and associated operational checks. Licensed andcompetent in operation of heavy plant such as front-end loaderto enable pushing/loading of stockpiles on site. Demonstratedexperience in the waste management/disposalindustry.
