Delivered across five key locations in NSW, YCLSS works closely with Local Health Districts to provide coordinated and integrated care. The program offers flexible support options tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each young person, ensuring they receive the right help at the right time. Services are based on a **recovery-oriented model**, promoting self-determination and independence to empower young people to live well within their communities.**About the Role****Support Worker** with our **Youth Community Living Support Services (YCLSS)** program.YCLSS is a NSW government-funded initiative supporting young people aged **15 to 24** who are living with serious mental illness and are at risk of developing a functional disability. This program provides **time-limited, flexible, and tailored community-based psychosocial support** in collaboration with Local Health Districts.Working within a **recovery-oriented framework**, you will walk alongside participants to provide intensive, person-centered support that builds resilience, life skills, and strong community connections.**To be successful in this role, you will possess the following*** Completion of the Certificate 4 in Mental Health, Certificate 4 in Mental Health Peer Work or Certificate 4 in Community Services, or be enrolled in and actively working toward completing one of these qualifications* A contemporary understanding of mental health issues and recovery orientated mental health practice* Capacity to continuously develop practice in response to supervision, reflection, training, practice experience and feedback* Rights to work in Australia and a current and valid Driver’s License* Satisfactory Police Records Check (less than 12 months old) and Working with Children Check, prior to commencement – or willing to obtain* NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Worker Orientation Module Certificate is mandatory prior to commencement:* NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWSC) is mandatory prior to commencementWellways connects people, strengthens families, and transforms communities for individuals of all ages experiencing disabilities or challenges to their social and emotional wellbeing.
