Service Engineer – ZOLL Medical Corporation Join our Acute Care Technology division to improve patient outcomes and help save lives with innovative medical devices, software, and services used worldwide to diagnose and treat cardiopulmonary and respiratory conditions. Position Overview The Technical Services Engineer ensures effective execution of all technical service functions for ZOLL Medical products across Australia and New Zealand. The role focuses on device maintenance, service level agreement compliance, and high customer satisfaction. This is a hybrid role covering field service, depot repairs, preventative maintenance, commissioning, and breakdown repairs, with required travel across the region. Key Responsibilities Conduct or coordinate repair and preventive maintenance of ZOLL medical devices to maintain operational efficiency and compliance with standards. Travel across Australia & New Zealand on short notice. Promote & support ZOLL Service Agreements to achieve revenue budgets. Maintain accurate service documentation, including logs, repair records, and preventative maintenance records. Manage customer and distributor relationships to meet satisfaction targets. Maintain spare‑part inventory levels and participate in quarterly stock reviews. Seek product and business improvement suggestions from customers. Add faults to the return register, update entries after service, and create service reports. Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules with the ZOLL Service Admin team and third‑party providers. Serve as the primary technical contact for stakeholders, manage training sessions, and maintain communications with management and sales staff. Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry regulations, health and safety standards, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Plan effectively to achieve departmental revenue budgets. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, electronics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 5 years of technical service or support role experience in the medical device industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Proven expertise in maintaining and supporting complex medical devices, especially defibrillators or monitors. Strong leadership and people‑management skills. Exceptional troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Project and resource management skills with strong attention to detail. Knowledge of health and safety regulations. Availability for on‑call support and willingness to travel locally for on‑site service.
