Pastoral Care Volunteer

We are seeking volunteers to support the spiritual and emotional needs of elderly people living in an aged care home. As a pastoral care volunteer, you’ll be actively involved with a local Christian church. You’ll supplement and complement the work of our Residential Pastoral Care Coordinator and, under their direction, you may support people to meet their spiritual needs, support people and families in times of crisis and nurture spiritual development. Volunteering alongside Pastoral Care can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. We’ll provide training and ongoing support.
