If you don't see an opportunity in your area, please call or email Job Description HammondCare pastoral care volunteers support the spiritual and emotional needs of elderly people living in their homes. As a pastoral care volunteer, you’ll be actively involved with a local Christian church in Lake Macquarie and the wider Hunter area, supplementing and complementing the work of our HammondCare At Home Pastoral Care Coordinator. Responsibilities Support people to meet their spiritual needs. Skills required for this role High level of interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills. Pastoral Care training such as Chaplaincy, Clinical Pastoral Education, or completion of HammondCare’s Spiritual Care Series. Your impact Volunteering alongside Pastoral Care can be a rewarding experience for both the person you visit and yourself. Regular visits help to improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation.
