The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join the finance team of this respected global brand. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic business decisions. What You'll Do Oversee and maintain comprehensive accounting records, including journals, ledgers, and supporting documentation. Perform monthly reconciliations across all General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. Manage inventory accounting processes, including the set-up of new stock codes, adjustments to stock balances, and review of inventory valuations. Lead the month-end close process and deliver accurate financial reports and dashboards to management in a timely manner. Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process by providing input, assumptions, trend analysis, and variance commentary. Execute financial reporting to support corporate performance review and decision-making. Prepare VAT reconciliations and ensure all indirect tax obligations are submitted and recorded correctly. Act as a key liaison for external stakeholders including auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial agents. Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and statutory reporting requirements. Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and process improvement initiatives, applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
