Join us as a Roving Security Officer where you will be responsible for ensuring security inspections are completed within assigned port areas whilst complying with security licence and legislative requirements. Key responsibilities Conduct security inspections within assigned port areas according to the Port of Brisbane's security licence and legislative requirements. Role model and promote the Port of Brisbane's Safety First health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with governance and risk protocols. Remain up-to-date with relevant legislation such as the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act (MTOFSA) and the maritime industry. Communicate effectively with staff and customers, maintaining a strong focus on customer service. Participate in a rotating roster that includes nights, weekends and variable shift patterns. We're looking for someone who Holds a current Queensland security licence and a driver's licence, with experience undertaking security inspections within a commercial or operations environment. Has a solid understanding of relevant legislation and the maritime industry. Is an effective communicator who can deliver top-quality customer service. Is comfortable working a rotating roster that includes nights and weekends. Shows commitment to safety, compliance and the values of the Port of Brisbane.
