About your new role:
This role offers a unique blend of hospital and community social work in a truly rural setting. The successful applicant will provide psychosocial assessments and interventions across both the acute care environment and the wider community, delivering generalist counselling and support. This dual role involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team as well as external agencies and services dedicated to supporting this small, tight-knit community. Where you'll be working:
The successful applicant will be based at Scone Hospital, working within both the hospital and community health teams. They will have access to a dynamic multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and specialist clinicians. Additionally, they will collaborate with a network of wider agencies, staff, and services within the Scone community and those providing outreach to the area. This integrated approach ensures comprehensive support and care for the community, fostering a collaborative and enriching work environment.

What we can offer you:

Requirements:
- Bachelor in Social Work or equivalent with eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW)
Additional Information:
- An eligibility list will be created for future permanent part-time and temporary part-time vacancies.
- To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
