Our client has engaged Evolve Scientific (NES Fircroft) to source an experienced Innovation Lead. Located in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, this company is passionate to work with their customers to develop innovative new cleaning & hygiene solutions to help keep Australian communities safer and cleaner. About the role Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Innovation Lead is a newly established role. The Innovation Lead is responsible for driving innovation across the organisation by identifying new opportunities, leading strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement. Key objectives are: Establish a stand‑alone, commercially focused innovation function that is market‑led and customer‑centric. Balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution to deliver measurable outcomes. Develop an innovation pipeline of products and equipment to support the growth aspirations of the business. Strengthen customer relationships. Lead sustainable innovative solutions. Maintain a robust pipeline of new products aligned with customer needs, regulatory changes, and future trends. Maintain the NPD process and enhance change‑management practices to ensure smooth implementation. Skills & experience Minimum of 7 years experience in innovation, product development, and growth strategy. Post‑graduate qualification in Chemistry, Chemical engineering, or a related discipline. Previous experience working with chemicals or liquids is highly regarded. Experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to mix professionally and build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally. As the Innovation Lead, you will be a strong leader, mentor, and motivator for the team. You must possess initiative, enthusiasm, and the ability to make crucial decisions independently.
