Expressions of Interest: headspace Psychologist - Private Practice headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation, acting as a one-stop-shop for young people seeking support with mental health, drug and alcohol, primary health and vocational/educational issues. Flexibility to workdays & hours that suit you across Monday to Saturday Our headspace Pakenham and Narre Warren teams are seeking expressions of interest from Registered Psychologists with FULL AHPRA registration to provide private practice services and deliver focused psychological strategies to young people aged 12–25, as part of our high-demand service with a current wait time of 2–4 weeks. These roles come with great flexibility to ensure that you get the best of both worlds; you can maintain your existing private or public work and provide contracted services to us for as little as one day each week. This provides a great opportunity for you to expand your scope and provide additional support to the community during these difficult times. Join our amazing multidisciplinary team, where collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. You'll be supported by a dedicated group of clinicians, GPs, nurses, and administrative staff, all working together to provide the best care for our service users. With a steady stream of referrals, no rent charges, and the flexibility to work across multiple locations, you’ll have access to allocated office space whenever you need it. We also offer strong Clinical Lead support, including assistance with complex clients, single-session work, secondary consultations, risk management, and holiday cover, so you’re never working alone. What you’ll be doing You will be providing high standard, person-centered counselling and focused psychological strategies to young people with mental health concerns. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team members as needed to coordinate care. As a contractor, you will have a referral base of young people who have been assessed and are ready to access services. In addition, you will be supported with: Full administrative support (including reception, billings, appointment bookings and reminder service) Fully web-based medical record software with IT support Co-located General Practitioners Qualifications We hope to hear from fully registered and experienced Psychologists who are passionate about making a difference to the health and wellbeing of young people. The following criteria must be met to be considered for these positions: Approved tertiary qualification in Psychology, with current unrestricted AHPRA registration Eligibility to provide Medicare Benefits Schedule services Willingness to undergo or provide full compliance documents including current Police Check, Working with Children’s Check and Covid Vaccination Evidence Own equipment (unless specified in your agreement) Proof of professional indemnity insurance and ABN Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
