Location: Melbourne (remote-friendly, with local collaboration)Reports to: Senior Front End Engineer (Melbourne)Collaborates with: UX Designer/Developer (Melbourne), client teams, and development teams in Tunisia & France About the role SpendWatt is building a next-generation customer experience platform that helps Victorians electrify their homes and transition to clean energy.We're looking for a Front End Developer to join our growing team and help deliver beautiful, intuitive, and high-performing web experiences that empower households to make the switch to clean energy. You’ll work closely with our Senior Front End Engineer (Melbourne) , UX Designer, and client teams, alongside distributed developers in Tunisia and France. This role is ideal for a practical, detail-oriented developer who enjoys collaboration and thrives in a fast-moving, purpose-driven environment. Key responsibilities Develop and enhance front-end features using React and TypeScript . Work closely with our UX Designer and client teams to bring designs and user journeys to life. Integrate front-end components with backend APIs for smooth, reliable performance. Build on top of existing product foundations while contributing to new feature development . Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that follows best practices. Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing within the team. Stay current with front-end trends, tools, and frameworks that can improve delivery. About you 5–10 years' experience in front-end development, with strong skills in React and TypeScript . Proven experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs. Good understanding of UX and design principles with a strong attention to detail. Collaborative and clear communicator who enjoys working with both internal and client teams. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-style environment where adaptability and initiative matter. Bonus: Interest in clean energy, sustainability, or impactful tech projects. Must be an Australian citizen or hold permanent residency status. Must live in Melbourne and happy to travel into the city 1-2 days a week to collaborate F2F in shared working spaces or the clients offices.
