What To Expect We are seeking a Logistics Yard Coordinator to oversee management of the Brisbane logistics yard. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of yard operations, including facilities management, vehicle movements, maintaining accurate inventory control, and personnel supervision within agreed timeframes while balancing costs & service. The role will involve communicating with multiple departments and third parties while managing a large volume of vehicles on site. A key aspect of this role is ensuring the safety and security of the yard, personnel, and cargo, through the development and implementation of effective safety protocols and security measures. This role requires being on your feet and working outdoors in all weather conditions for a significant portion of each day. What You'll Do Optimize space utilisation and workflow efficiency. Act as a dedicated point of contact for logistics activities to both internal and external stakeholders. Supervise and maintain a team of yard personnel, ensuring all personnel are properly trained and equipped. Work closely with 2PL and 3PL vendors to ensure seamless yard operations and overall business integration. Ensure Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), First Aid, and other company documentation and equipment are relevant and up to date, in consultation with the EHS & Security team. Monitor, record, and report damage claims to relevant stakeholders. Analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions quickly. Collaborate with the Tesla Logistics team, both on-site and remotely, to plan and track vehicle shipments. Develop relationships and communicate relevant information across all levels of the organisation and with 3PL partners. Use a Transport Management System to book vehicle transport and maintain data integrity. Provide support and guidance to other logistics roles within Australia & New Zealand as needed. Maintain the warehouse and yard, keeping them clean and organized, and coordinate with various organizations for any works on-site. What You'll Bring Proven experience in yard management or facilities management preferred. Proficiency with logistics software and mobile devices. Ability to work under high pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. First Aid training is advantageous but not essential. Good physical fitness, with the ability to walk large distances daily in all weather conditions. Full local Driver Licence with a safe driving record. Administrative and automotive experience required.
