About The BUSY School The BUSY School is part of The BUSY Group, a not-for-profit organisation with 45 years of experience as a community partner providing employment services, vocational education and training, apprenticeships, mentoring, NDIS, disability employment support, and allied health services. The BUSY Group is expanding its network of Special Assistance Schools into Tasmania, South Australia, and the Australian Capital Territory. We are seeking experts in each of the three jurisdictions to support this strategic expansion. The BUSY School offers an alternative educational pathway for Year 11 and 12 students who are at‑risk or disengaged from traditional schooling. Our focus is on re‑engaging young people in learning and providing support to complete their senior secondary education while building confidence and practical skills for a life of unbounded possibilities. We prioritise small class sizes, personalised support, and wellbeing programmes to help students overcome barriers to learning. Our goal is that every graduate progresses into meaningful employment, further training, or tertiary education, creating positive change for themselves and their communities. Students work towards their final school certificate through individualised learning plans, while also accessing nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training courses aligned to career goals. This approach provides a head start into employment or further study upon graduation, supported by career planning, work readiness programmes, and school‑based apprenticeship or traineeship opportunities. Job Description Primary Purpose The purpose of these roles is to support the strategic expansion of The BUSY School in multiple jurisdictions by designing and producing high‑quality senior secondary curriculum and assessment materials that meet accreditation and compliance requirements across multiple states. Curriculum Consultants will ensure that teaching and learning frameworks are inclusive, evidence‑based, and tailored for at‑risk and disengaged students, while navigating complex regulatory standards to achieve successful school accreditation outcomes. Remuneration These roles offer flexible engagement options, with remuneration available on either a per‑project basis or an hourly rate. Rates will be negotiated to reflect expertise in senior secondary curriculum development, accreditation compliance, and project delivery capability. Desired Skills and Experience Expert knowledge of senior secondary curriculum frameworks in either South Australian, Tasmanian or Australian Capital Territory contexts. Proven experience in curriculum design and development, including differentiated learning strategies for at‑risk and disengaged students. Strong capability in creating compliant assessment tools, rubrics, and instructional plans aligned with accreditation standards. Ability to interpret and apply education legislation and regulatory requirements to ensure full compliance. Project management skills to deliver curriculum outcomes within tight timelines and competing priorities. Excellent communication and consultation skills, including the ability to explain complex curriculum concepts clearly. High level of digital literacy, with proficiency in collaborative tools and integrating technology into curriculum design. Bachelor‑level qualification in Education, with desirable experience in senior secondary environments. Recruitment This role will actively commence recruitment from the date of advertisement. The closing date of this ad is dependent on the appointment of the role. The BUSY Group is an organisation that prioritises the safeguarding of children and all vulnerable people by actively adopting strategies that embed a culture of zero tolerance for abuse of any kind. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening including criminal history and relevant working with children checks. The BUSY Group is committed to achieving a diverse workforce and strongly encourages applications from First Nations People, people from culturally diverse backgrounds and people with disabilities. Position available from 13/11/2025 to 12/12/2025. Temporary role. Location: Hobart. Employer: The BUSY School. #J-18808-Ljbffr
