Regain Services Pty Ltd (Regain) provides sustainable advantages for the aluminium and cement industry and for the environment through the safe and economic transformation of aluminium smelter waste materials. We design, build, own and operate chemical processing plants to implement our proprietary technology for recovery and recycling of chemicals and minerals. Regain uses Australian suppliers to manufacture process equipment to Regain design. We are searching for a multi-skilled technician to help integrate computer aided design (CAD), computer aided manufacture (CAM) and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine tools to enable our suppliers to be globally competitive in process equipment manufacture. The candidate will work from a base location at an office provided by Regain located in or near Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. The candidate may be required to work elsewhere for short periods as reasonably nominated by Regain from time to time. Key Responsibilities | Duties Mechanical design and CAD/CAM/CNC integration including designing and modelling using CAD workstation and application software provided by Regain and integrating CAD models with CAM technology and CNC machine tools. The wk includes administering CAD and CAM objects using the Regain Lifecycle Management System (LMS) application software platform. Materials supply chain development including adapting and improving Australian supplier CAM/CNC capability to develop and nurture a globally competitive Regain supply chain. Supply chain work includes assessment of suppliers for supply of spare parts and other materials for operations and maintenance and for supply of materials for engineering projects. Maintenance support including engagement with Regain Operations and Engineering people to identify causes of failure and to formulate preventive maintenance actions. The work includes formulation and documentation of maintenance planning and maintenance spare parts requirements for each Regain Operation using the LMS. Organisation technical support and organisation participation with focus on relentless reinforcement of the importance of safety and engagement with people, to deliver quality products and services safely, on budget and on time. Experience, Skills and Qualifications The ideal applicant has: Experience in using Dassault Systems SolidWorks CAD software Experience in adapting designs from SolidWorks for manufacture of objects using CNC lathes and CNC milling machines Experience is working with one of more first tier chemical processing companies with in-house engineering capability deploying leading edge technology in CAD/CAM/CNC processes in the design, operation and maintenance of process equipment Formal technical training and apprenticeship to technician level #J-18808-Ljbffr
