Summit Laboratory Services – Athol Park SA Summit Laboratory Services, located in Adelaide, South Australia, is an accredited food, beverage, water and environmental testing laboratory. The group specialises in rapid pathogen testing using advanced technologies and is NATA accredited for ISO17025 and certified by DAFF for critical pathogens, plant virus and imported food testing. Summit operates out of a new state-of-the-art testing laboratory in Athol Park, with PC2 and BC2 accredited facilities. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role. The Laboratory Manager will oversee daily lab operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining quality control processes and procedures. Responsibilities include managing laboratory staff, overseeing equipment maintenance, supporting quality control and assurance procedures and ensuring timely and accurate completion of testing services. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the efficiency, safety, and quality of laboratory processes. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in laboratory science, microbiology, chemistry, or a related field Extensive experience in microbiology methods and techniques Experience with ISO17025 quality systems and NATA accreditation processes preferable Strong leadership and team management skills Ability to provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, training and mentorship to laboratory staff Proficiency in maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring its proper performance Demonstrated client management experience in a commercial environment preferred Demonstrated analytical skills for interpreting test results and identifying trends Understanding of regulatory compliance and protocols related to food safety Previous experience in laboratory management is preferred Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
