Job Responsibilities As part of a rota, you will mentor and support a multidisciplinary team of clinicians in a hub environment. Make professional, autonomous decisions regarding presenting problems, whether self‑referenced or referred from other health‑care workers within the organisation. Assess the health‑care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Develop care plans in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease‑management protocols. Provide counselling and health education. Admit or discharge patients to and from the caseload and refer to other care providers as appropriate. Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards. Collect data for audit purposes. Ensure and undertake the annual mandatory training relevant to the job role. Compile and issue computer‑generated acute and repeat prescriptions. Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever clinically appropriate. Essential Qualifications Fully qualified GP with GMC registration. Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate). General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trained. On a medical performers list. Enhanced DBS check. UK driving licence. Current CPR certificate. UK work permit (if required). Medical defence union cover. Chronic disease management. Primary prevention & screening services. Clinical governance. Delivery of QoF targets. Self‑audit and reflection. Organised and efficient in record‑keeping and completion of paperwork. Time‑management, able to prioritise work and work under pressure. Computer literacy. Desirable Qualifications Experience of working with a variety of clinical software systems. Adaptability to change. Service development. Benefits Possible view to a permanent contract. Annual salary dependent on core duties covered as part of our development framework and your existing experience. Visa sponsorship considered. Four educational study days per annum. Salary and Contract Pay scheme: £11,171.79 to £13,565.75 a year per session depending on duties within our development framework. Contract: Fixed term, duration 365 days.
