Avoca Fencing is seeking a motivated and hardworking Fencing Trade Assistant / Laborer to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. As a casual role, this position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on a variety of fencing projects throughout the region. What you'll be doing Assisting qualified fencing tradespeople with the installation and repair of various fencing types, including timber, Colorbond fencing and Gates along with Aluminium style fencing. Carrying and moving fencing materials and equipment to worksites Preparing work areas and cleaning up after jobs Following all safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude as part of the fencing crew What we're looking for Some experience in the construction or trades industries, ideally with exposure to fencing or similar manual labour work Minimum of 6 months experience in construction or trades industries is required A good level of physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding physical tasks Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn White Card (Construction Induction) Valid Australian Driver's Licence - Must Have own Vehicle Australian work authorisation is required for this positionWhat we offer As a casual employee of Avoca Fencing, you'll enjoy the flexibility to work around your other commitments.
