Manager Cost Optimisation Position at Australia Post. About the opportunity As our Cost Optimisation Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening our competitiveness and shaping the future of our Network Optimisation team. This role is focused on driving measurable cost improvements across the end‑to‑end supply chain, reducing cost per unit while maintaining service excellence and customer experience. You’ll take the lead on cost benchmarking, analysing operational and financial data, and identifying opportunities to remove inefficiencies, improve productivity, and unlock greater value from our existing infrastructure. With your strong financial acumen, commercial mindset, and ability to influence stakeholders, you’ll deliver sustainable cost optimisation initiatives that enhance visibility and reduce overall network costs. People & safety – Champion a culture of collaboration, wellbeing, and accountability, keeping both our teams and customers at the heart of every decision. About you You bring 5+ years of experience in cost optimisation, operations finance, network strategy, or supply chain analytics. You’ve delivered measurable cost savings and efficiency improvements in logistics or supply chain environments. You’re confident working with data, using tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau to uncover insights and support decision‑making. You communicate with influence and build strong relationships across teams, always linking operational decisions back to financial outcomes.
