Position Overview As a casual Residential Youth Worker with Edmen, you can make a real difference in the lives of children and young people who are living in out-of-home care. Working with some of Australia’s best youth service providers, every day grants you a unique experience and adventure, empowering children and young people to live their best lives, in a nurturing and safe environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities Create a Safe and Supportive Home: Foster a secure, nurturing environment for at-risk youth. Empower Daily Living: Assist with personal care, meals, and hygiene to promote independence. Facilitate Transportation: Ensure young people attend school, appointments, and community activities. Promote Growth: Encourage skill development and socialization within the local community. Manage Health Needs: Administer medications and maintain accurate reporting. Deliver Trauma-Informed Care: Support youth with complex behaviors using trauma-informed approaches. Engage in Therapeutic Practices: Participate in the Trauma Recovery framework and complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) within your first three months. About You ✅ Hold (or be studying towards) a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Social Work, Disability Support Work or similar (see full list of accepted qualifications on our website) ✅ Australian Drivers License (P2 or higher) ✅ Working with Children Check (Blue Card) ✅ Current First Aid & CPR certificate ✅ 3 months paid experience as a Residential Youth Worker ✅ The ability to work a mixture of day, night and weekend shifts as required Edmen Community Staffing Solutions is an employer of equal opportunity and encourages CALD, LGBTQIA+ and First Nations people to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
