This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that’s shaping the future of data centre design in Australia and beyond. The Role This is an excellent opportunity for skilled electrical engineer to join our data centres team to play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative electrical design solutions for some of the most notable and large-scale data centre projects in Australia and around the world. Data centre experience is preferrable, but you do not need previous data centre experience to apply. Our data centre specialist designers will mentor you as you enter our internal DC101 programme. This will give all new joiners the skills, context, and mentors to successfully transition into the sector and grow your career in this exciting industry. You will collaborate within our critical systems team and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to help manage the delivery of technically-excellent, profitable projects for high profile clients. The role entails your being very closely involved within the design process and production of design deliverables, working in a team of engineers. You will support, and be supported by, senior staff within the team. The Skills We’re looking for a qualified engineer educated to a degree level in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related technical discipline. You may be Chartered or working towards it, either way, we’ll support your career path. You will have gained experience in a consulting engineering role and looking to take this to a new challenge. We value people who bring initiative, problem-solving, and a collaborative mindset to their work. You don’t need previous data centre experience. Our DC101 programme has been designed to provide in-depth technical training alongside your projects to ensure new joiners can succeed in the industry. This programme has led to multiple award wins and nominations for talent development across the data centre sector. Essential characteristics for the successful candidate include: the ability to take ownership of tasks. the capacity to think around problems and help guide the team towards solutions. to recognise the importance of collaboration in a multi-disciplinary design environment be an organised and confident communicator with client facing skills. Our established critical systems team has a wealth of experience, as well as an excellent project pipeline.
