About the role We are seeking a Venue Manager to join the dynamic team at the Baskerville Tavern. As the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our renowned hospitality establishment, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for our guests. This is a full-time role based in Baskerville, WA 6056. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality and possess strong leadership skills. This is a hands‑on management role best suited for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. What you'll be doing Manage the overall operations of the venue, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and budget oversight. Manage all aspects of recruitment, onboarding, and performance development. Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the venue. Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain loyal patrons. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, leading and motivating the team to deliver outstanding results. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and drive the business forward. Liaise with suppliers, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Maintain a safe, secure, and well‑maintained venue environment. Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Baskerville Tavern and help shape its future growth. What we're looking for Proven track record of successfully managing a hospitality venue, with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Experience managing any licensed venue is required for this position. Extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry, including best practices in customer service, operational efficiency, and financial management. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a wide range of stakeholders. Demonstrated problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, with a focus on delivering results. Proficiency in using relevant hospitality management software and digital tools. Experience with any POS system is essential for this role. Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience.
