HR Officer – Part Time (1 - 2 Days Per Week) Join a Growing Construction & Insurance Repairs Company | Flexible Work Options Builderwest is expanding, and we're seeking a proactive and experienced HR Officer to join our team on a part‑time basis (1 - 2 days per week). This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, professional, and enjoys supporting a busy and growing team across multiple states. Builderwest is a respected provider of insurance, strata, and major loss repair services across Western Australia—known for our strong team culture, high standards, and commitment to delivering exceptional customer and client outcomes. As we continue to grow, we're looking for someone who can help maintain and improve our people, processes, and HR compliance. About the Role Working closely with our senior leadership team, supervisors, and administrators, the HR Officer will be responsible for supporting the end‑to‑end HR functions within Builderwest. Key Responsibilities Manage HR administration, compliance, and record keeping. Assist with onboarding, inductions, and training documentation. Coordinate employment contracts, policy updates, and HR manuals. Support recruitment activities, including job posting, screening, and coordinating interviews. Maintain employee files, police clearances, certifications, and training matrices. Assist with performance management support documentation. Provide guidance on HR processes, leave management, and award interpretation. Assist with safety and compliance documentation in line with our WHS requirements. Support leaders with general HR queries across WA, SA, and VIC teams. Ensure HR procedures align with Builderwest's culture, values, and KPIs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, clarity, and helping teams operate smoothly. About You We're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-focused, and confident in their HR capability. You will have Experience in a HR Officer, HR Administrator, or People & Culture support role. A minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience to effectively support our growing organisation. Strong understanding of HR compliance, awards, and employment legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Outstanding organisational and administrative capabilities. Ability to work autonomously and maintain confidentiality. Strong skills in MS Office, onboarding systems, and HR documentation. A proactive approach and a willingness to continuously improve processes. Experience in construction, trades, or insurance‑related environments (preferred but not essential). A tertiary qualification in HR, Business or related field would be preferred for this position. Why Join Builderwest?
