Position: Grid Connection Manager Company: Renewable Energy Developer Location: Brisbane (open to candidates in other states) Salary: Up to $220k base Design & Build Recruitment is partnering with a leading Australian renewable energy developer. With a strong pipeline across renewable power generation projects, they are expanding their engineering team and hiring a Grid Connection Manager. Why This Role? Lead grid connection process from development, epc to O&M phase. Sydney head office, but open to candidates based anywhere in Australia Ideal for consultants wanting to move to the owner/developer side Strong project pipeline, financial backing, and clear career growth Direct involvement in high-impact projects shaping Australia’s energy transition Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end grid connection process for large-scale renewables Represent the company in all AEMO and NSP interactions Review consultant studies and provide technical and strategic direction Oversee grid modelling, risk assessments, and compliance activities Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to drive approvals What We Expect From Your Application 6+ years’ experience in the energy sector with proven grid connection experience in Australia Strong understanding of AEMO processes and NSP requirements Relevant Engineering degree Confident decision-maker with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills How To Apply If you are an experienced Grid Connection Manager or a senior engineer ready to step up, we would like to hear from you.
