About the OPPORTUNITY We currently have a new opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator – initially based at our Flinders Street Offices, SA , potentially relocating to our Osborne SA Offices . Reporting to the Site/ Operations Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of maintenance for infrastructure and plant & equipment at the site. The role coordinates activities and monitors work performance to ensure optimum use of funds and compliance with SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) Policy and Procedures whilst minimising impact upon the resident Programs and Projects. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9‑day fortnight and/or hybrid working. Key responsibilities include: Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors to ensure contractual obligations and SHE requirements are being delivered. Contribute towards the provision of a safe and secure working environment via the support of the delivery of effective services and support, planned preventative and breakdown maintenance. Contribute to effective communication between the Safety & Facilities Functions and external contractors, service providers and other functions/ business units/ lines of business. Undertake SHE Internal Audits – Trade and Service Contractors. Monitor and report on financial expenditure of facilities management activities. Maintain security system in liaison with Security Officer. Provide space management planning guidance to employees. Act as the first point of contact for Facilities queries from program team members. Support Facilities and Infrastructure team in Facilities matters. About YOU Australian Citizen, eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security & ITAR clearance required, Negative Vetting 1 (essential). Outstanding customer service skills with an ability to effectively liaise with BAE Systems Australia management and general staff and contractors/ service providers. Strong experience in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management.
