The Role We’re seeking a hands‑on Engineering Manager to lead a cross‑functional squad and deliver high‑quality software at speed. You’ll set clear outcomes, prioritize across streams, and raise the technical bar while fostering operational excellence. As part of engineering leadership, you’ll model pragmatic decision‑making, prototype impactful features, and ship reliable releases. You’ll coach engineers with timely feedback and fair performance practices, partner with Product and Design to shape roadmaps, make tradeoffs, and measure impact. You’ll also strengthen reliability through effective on‑call and incident response. What You’ll Own Architect and prototype new features, contributing code when appropriate. Lead a cross‑functional squad to deliver robust, user‑centric solutions on schedule. Define measurable outcomes, prioritize ruthlessly, and drive consistent execution. Elevate standards via sound architecture, thorough reviews, and operational best practices. Coach and develop engineers through feedback, growth plans, and fair performance management. Collaborate with Product and Design on roadmaps, tradeoffs, and impact measurement. Build reliability practices, including on‑call readiness and incident response. Who You Are Demonstrated expertise in modern software development and architecture, with a bias to prototype and ship. Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering at scale in product‑led environments. Able to set strategy while attending to technical detail, balancing rigor with pragmatism. Strong cross‑functional partner to Product and Design with excellent communication. Reliability‑first mindset with experience running on‑call and incident processes. Has an AI forward mindset and has been greatly accelerating your team’s velocity with AI. Nice to Have Familiarity with parts of our stack: TypeScript, React, GraphQL, AWS, PHP.
