Kalgoorlie-Boulder State Emergency Service – Kalgoorlie WA Volunteer Role SES volunteers play a significant and vital role in ensuring their local communities are safe by undertaking both operational and non-front line functions. As an active volunteer, you will learn the necessary skills to assist with: Responsibilities Storm Damage Land Search and Recovery General Rescue Bush Fire Support Benefits Learning new skills Ongoing training with experienced trainers Support and mentoring from experienced members and DFES Staff Meeting new people and enjoying the company of like-minded people. If any or all of this interests you, please submit an expression of interest as we would love to speak with you. Note: This is an UNPAID Volunteer Position and cannot assist with VISAs. Category : Emergency Response Commitment : Regular – more than 6 months Type Of Work : Safety & Emergency Services Time Required : Kalgoorlie – Boulder SES welcomes discussion around your time availability. Training is held every Tuesday night from 7pm - 9pm. There are weekend DFES run training courses/exercises every 2-3 months. The SES understand the shift work nature of the Kalgoorlie area and encourages you to attend as many training sessions and incidents that your time allows.
