Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Undergraduate Engineer to join our expanding Projects Division. Based at our Sumner Park workshop, you will gain hands‑on experience across a variety of projects, working closely with senior engineers, project managers and tradespeople. This role is ideal for an engineering undergraduate who wants to apply their theoretical knowledge while developing practical project delivery skills. The position has a strong focus on supporting project execution , not carrying out full engineering design work — making it a perfect opportunity to learn how engineered solutions are brought to life in the field. Key Responsibilities Support the preparation of tenders and estimates by gathering technical information, reviewing drawings, assisting with cost build‑ups and helping prepare submission documents. Provide technical input to external engineering consultants, including helping prepare design briefs, reviewing draft designs for constructability and coordinating required project information. Assist project managers with planning, scheduling, procurement and documentation. Participate in installation, commissioning and maintenance activities as directed. Contribute to troubleshooting and problem‑solving during construction and project delivery. Undertake site assessments, collect data and help prepare technical and progress reports. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives, quality documentation, and process development. Qualifications and Skills Currently studying towards a Mechanical Engineering degree or similar qualification. Strong mechanical aptitude with an eagerness to learn and grow. Good problem‑solving abilities and an analytical mindset. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team. Competence in using standard engineering tools and software. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Desirable but not Essential Experience or interest in the water and wastewater industry. Knowledge of mechanical equipment and installation processes. Willingness to undertake site‑based work and occasional overtime. Flexibility for full‑time or part‑time hours depending on your study commitments and availability. Why Join Us?
