Position Summary We are looking for a dynamic and results‑driven Operations Manager – Forward Logistics to lead our Prestons facility. This onsite leadership role is accountable for driving best‑in‑industry practice across Safety, Cost, Service, Quality, and Culture. You will oversee a high‑performing team, partner with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure our logistics operations deliver exceptional outcomes for customers. Key Responsibilities Safety: Champion a culture where the health and safety of staff is paramount. Cost: Deliver financial results that meet budget and forecast targets. Service: Exceed service level KPIs for both internal and external customers. Quality: Drive high‑quality outputs and outcomes that consistently meet targets. Culture: Build and nurture a collaborative, innovative, and highly engaged team. Lead and develop direct reports and floor staff to achieve operational excellence. Partner with peers in Compliance, Inventory, Transport, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless operations. Collaborate with support teams (IT, Finance, HR) to align operational goals. Engage with employee representatives and unions in EBA operations and negotiations. Manage relationships with labour recruitment agencies and 3PL providers. Provide strategic input to the VP Operations APAC. Key Relationships Director of Operations – Line manager providing guidance and support. Operational Peers – Compliance, Inventory, Transport, Supply Chain. Employee Representatives & Union Organisers – EBA operations and negotiations. External Partners – Labour recruitment agencies and 3PL providers. VP Operations APAC – Strategic alignment and reporting. Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of operational management leadership experience or relevant tertiary education. Proven track record of delivering against organisational goals. Superior communication skills – verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation. Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, metric‑driven environments. Strong collaboration and relationship‑building skills across leadership teams. Proficiency in logistics software, Excel, and data analysis tools.
