Chief Technology Officer

Evolt is a fast-growing innovative health technology company that is powering both connected and digital health through body composition technology. We are now looking for an experienced CTO (full time or part time) to take our tech to the next level. This critical role will be the link between the strategic vision of the organisation and executing the strategy by working with our small team to grow our tech solutions. Reporting to the CEO, this role is a key member of the executive team. The business is looking for someone to come in and pick up what has already come so far, review and refine the product roadmap, drive the completion of revenue generating projects, lead technical support and ready the organisation for fast growth. Responsibilities Your responsibilities will span a wide range, including shaping a technology vision that aligns with our business strategy and driving the continuous enhancement of our technical capabilities. You’ll lead a small but highly skilled team, working within budgetary constraints to ensure our technology stays cutting-edge and innovative. Additionally, you’ll serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, managing their expectations and ensuring the successful delivery of technical solutions and deliver innovation inot aour. Key responsibilities include: Develop and implement the company’s technology vision and strategy. Lead, mentor and manage the tech team, including engineering, IT, product development, technical support/warehouse and security. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and high performance within the team. Oversee the development and deployment of the company’s product roadmap. Ensure the efficient operation of the company’s IT infrastructure and systems. Lead a best in class technical customer support service desk, ensuring post-sale experiences with our technology are customer focused and delivered within SLA's. Drive the strategic integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning across products and operations to enhance innovation, scalability, and data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements. Develop and manage the technology budget. Experience We are looking for someone who has a proven track record in leading tech teams to deliver on the strategic goals of a business. Solid experience in SaaS and cybersecurity is crucial, as is the ability to think strategically and be able to lead change management across an organisation. Your background should reflect a history of successful program delivery in applications, platforms, and DevOps and you will be comfortable with constant change, and a growth business model. You will also have the following skills and experience: Strong knowledge of Laravel PHP framework and experience in developing Laravel applications. Proficiency in AWS services and deployment best practices. Proven experience in quality assurance and release management for web, mobile, and kiosk applications. Experience in coordinating and managing the release process for various platforms. Familiarity with version control systems and release documentation management. Experience in conducting functional, regression, and integration testing. Understanding of software development methodologies and practices. Familiarity with mobile app development, deployment processes and testing frameworks (e.g., Appium, XCTest, Espresso). Knowledge of kiosk-based application requirements and considerations.
