Perhaps you’re a good listener who enjoys conversations one-on-one. We’re looking for a kind-hearted volunteer to visit a thoughtful elderly lady who’s feeling a bit lonely. She enjoys discussing current affairs and would like to meet a buddy to visit her for a chat. Your time and company could make a world of difference. A friendly visit, a shared story, or a chat over a cuppa could truly lift her spirits. Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated.
