Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support a critical on-premises to Google Cloud Platform migration project in Australia. This role requires strong expertise in GCP, DevOps practices, and CI / CD pipeline development to enable seamless application rearchitecture and deployment in cloud environments. Responsibilities Implement and maintain DevOps methodologies and best practices to support development teams throughout the cloud migration process Design, develop, maintain, and continuously improve CI / CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes Collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams to architect and implement scalable cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform Utilize GCP services and tools to support development teams in building, deploying, and managing cloud-native applications Troubleshoot complex issues in production environments and provide timely support to ensure system reliability and performance Support the migration and re-architecting of on-premises applications to the GCP cloud infrastructure Document processes, configurations, and best practices to ensure knowledge transfer and operational continuity Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance on build and deployment strategies Work from the office in Sydney (2-3 days per week) Requirements 2 – 3 years of experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture 6+ years of experience implementing DevOps methodologies in enterprise environments Strong experience with CI / CD tools and pipeline development (e.g., Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI) Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager Hands‑on experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes / GKE Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages Experience leading or participating in cloud migration projects Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, or similar) Expert knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git Deep understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements in cloud environments We offer By choosing EPAM, you're getting a job at Great Place To Work-Certified™ in 2024, Glassdoor’s Top 100 Best Places to Work in 2023 & one of Most Loved Workplace, as recognized by Newsweek, 2021 - 2023 Employee ideas are the main driver of our business.
