The Director of Sport plays a key role in shaping this vision and driving a positive sporting culture across the whole college. What you'll lead The full sports program, including weekly interschool fixtures, House Sport and carnivals A team of coordinators, coaches and support staff Strategic planning and future development of the college's sporting direction High standards of behaviour, participation and student wellbeing through sport Communication, operations and community engagement relating to all sporting activities Key responsibilities Oversee all sporting activities, staffing, team selections and venue coordination Lead the Sports Department, developing staff capability and maintaining strong team morale Manage budgets, uniforms, documentation, fixtures and reporting Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards and professional expectations Drive positive parent, staff and community communication around sport Represent the school at association meetings and external sporting forums Deliver an annual report to the Principal outlining achievements and future goals What you'll bring Strong leadership skills and experience in managing large school sporting programs Understanding of Catholic education and commitment to the school's mission and values Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to mentor staff and build a cohesive, high‑performing team A professional, collaborative approach and a genuine passion for student development Full VIT registration Why this role stands out Significant leadership responsibility at POL 4 Opportunity to shape a major pillar of the college's culture and student experience Supportive leadership team and well‑established programs already in place A community that values sport, teamwork and holistic education Salary and conditions are as per the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement.
