Your next career opportunity As Director, Sport and Active Engagement, you will lead strategic initiatives that integrate sport, fitness and community engagement to enhance student and staff wellbeing. Collaborating closely with senior stakeholders, you will align programmes with institutional priorities and foster lifelong connections with the University. Your responsibilities will include: Strategic leadership: developing and executing vision and strategy for sport aligning with University's Strategy 2030. Team development: inspiring and empowering managers and teams to deliver excellence across sport and engagement functions. Integrating programme oversight: overseeing the delivery of sport and fitness programmes, ensuring they are impactful and responsive to community needs. Facilities management: championing investment in sport facilities, ensuring world‑class standards and sustainability. Equity and inclusion: leading initiatives to create inclusive experiences for diverse cohorts. You may be a great fit if: You will be a high‑profile leader with extensive senior leadership experience, capable of driving strategic outcomes and leading large, complex teams with a focus on equity and inclusion. You may also: Have extensive senior leadership experience with a proven track record of driving strategic outcomes. Demonstrate success in delivering innovative programmes and services that enhance user experience and engagement. Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to influence and manage senior stakeholders. Exhibit expertise in developing strategic and operational plans that optimise team performance. It provides high‑level policy, business and financial advice to the University on the development and management of sport and recreation at the University.
