A great opportunity for an experienced IT professional with strong technical skills has arisen in this team for an AV & Digital Systems Technician. Responsibilities Provide technical support for the audio, video and digital systems, and related equipment moves, additions, and changes. Provide input into new acquisitions of IT AV assets and upgrades. Coordinate and oversee the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and repair of Internet Protocol (IP) based audio‑video (IPTV) systems and related hardware. Coordinate the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and repair of AV equipment. Collaborate with the business to develop standard operating procedures and processes for event and non‑event day operations of the audio, visual, and digital systems. Provide day‑to‑day level 1 support for operations to all business systems and perform hands‑on fixes at the desktop level. Collaborate with the AV & Broadcast Lead to identify and capitalise on opportunities to use information and technology to improve product, service and/or business processes; work with relevant departments to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of new and existing digital systems solutions. Adhere to and maintain information security standards, compliance and governance needs within the business. Define, develop and implement quality assurance practices and procedures. Develop strong and collaborative working relationships with internal staff, contractors and vendors. Research and evaluate new AV products and technologies. Work with the IT & I team to deliver high‑quality, strategically aligned outcomes for the organisation. Provide onsite event day support on a rostered basis and provide after‑hours support as required. Collaborate with the business and 3rd‑party consultants in the development of business cases and proposals that leverage existing and emerging technologies for the benefit of the business. About You A self‑starter with a can‑do attitude and 2–5 years of working experience in a similar role with AV installations. 1–2 years of IT Service Desk experience in a customer‑facing role is desirable. Experience with IPTV systems (e.g. Wipro VisionEDGE or similar) desirable but not mandatory. Broadcast experience and knowledge of systems is desirable. ITIL 4 certification and experience with related IT systems (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira) desirable but not mandatory. A strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical staff. Ability to organise and prioritise workloads to consistently meet timeframes. Ability to understand and apply new concepts, demonstrated by a genuine interest in learning about new technologies and their application. Proven problem‑solving skills demonstrated by the ability to identify problems, determine possible solutions and actively work to resolve issues.
