Electrical Works Practices Officer – Switching Join Evoenergy as an Electrical Works Practices Officer – Switching and play a key role in shaping the safety and quality of our electricity network operations. In this role, you'll develop and implement operational frameworks and work practice instructions that align with our WHSEQ policy, the Electricity Network Safety Management System, and Asset Management System. You will support safe and efficient switching activities across our distribution and transmission networks, driving continuous improvement in safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Responsibilities Work effectively with key stakeholders to design, write, consult and communicate on works practices procedures for all activities associated with safe field switching on the network. Lead and participate in investigations of incidents and engage with internal and external stakeholders. Develop Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), train the workforce to implement ITPs according to standards, instructions and other business objectives at all stages of design, asset installation, replacement, maintenance and disposal. Monitor trends and changes impacting the utility industry, particularly in electrical work practices, and identify opportunities for application within the business. Champion and role model Evoenergy's culture principles and behaviours; act as a coach and mentor to actively support your team. Qualifications Certificate III in ESI – Distribution Underground or equivalent. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Authorisations for switching operations (obtained or able to obtain). Extensive experience in work practice improvements such as instructions, training and documentation. Highly developed communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into clear, plain English requirements. Commitment to safety and a safe, inclusive, respectful environment.
