About the Role Carinity – Talera has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Child and Family Therapist to join the team. This role provides quality therapeutic and resourcing interventions for children/young people and families referred to Carinity Communities Programs. This part-time position is for a fixed term, concluding 30 April 2027 with a possibility of extension. The role requires 32 hours each week, worked Monday to Thursday. Applications close on 25 January 2026; however submissions will be reviewed as they are received. Responsibilities Use your therapeutic expertise to support children and families, fostering safety, connection, and positive change. Utilise a collaborative case management approach to strengthen family relationships, enhance children’s safety/wellbeing, and develop supporting networks within the community. Provide high quality therapeutic and resourcing interventions for children and young people referred to Carinity Communities Programs. Qualifications Minimum 4+ years specialist counselling experience supporting children/young people and their families in relation to domestic and family violence, child abuse, neglect, and attachment and trauma. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in risk assessment and safety planning where domestic and family violence is an issue. Tertiary qualification(s) in psychology, social work, counselling or a similar relevant discipline. Hold a current Suitability for Working with Children card (Blue Card).
