Recruitment Consultant Role: The Recruitment Consultant at Disability Dynamics is responsible for leading the recruitment and workforce planning functions. This position oversees a team of Recruitment Officers and ensures the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and efficient end-to-end recruitment services across the organisation. The role is accountable for developing and implementing recruitment strategies, policies, and systems to attract, engage, and retain skilled employees within the disability services sector. Working closely with senior leadership and program managers, the Recruitment Consultant ensures that workforce needs are met in line with NDIS and Fair Work requirements while promoting a positive, inclusive, and values-based workplace culture that supports organisational growth and service excellence. Tasks & Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of recruitment strategies and policies aligned with Disability Dynamics’ mission and values. Supervise Recruitment Officers to ensure consistency and quality in recruitment delivery. Develop workforce forecasting and planning tools to anticipate staffing needs and enhance resource efficiency. Partner with hiring managers to identify workforce gaps and create tailored recruitment plans. Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline to meet current and future organisational needs. Promote a positive and respectful workplace culture that enhances employee engagement and morale. Support leadership in implementing organisational change and workforce planning strategies. Drive continuous improvement across HR and recruitment functions to align with strategic objectives. Provide high-level HR advice to management on employee relations, award interpretation, and policy compliance. Oversee the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle including job advertising, screening, interviews, reference checks, and onboarding. Review and authorise employment contracts and enterprise agreements in line with SCHADS Award, NES, and Fair Work Act requirements. Maintain a central database of job seekers, internal vacancies, and candidate progress. Ensure all job vacancy information from the intake team (client assessments, care plans, and position descriptions) is accurately captured and actioned. Lead selection panels and ensure a fair, inclusive, and professional candidate experience. Oversee completion of mandatory employment and compliance checks (NPC, WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening, VEVO, qualifications). Regularly review and update recruitment and HR policies to reflect legislative changes and best practices. Prepare periodic reports and analyses on recruitment metrics, workforce trends, and market conditions. Continuously evaluate and streamline recruitment and onboarding processes for efficiency and quality improvements. Supervise and mentor a team of two Recruitment Officers. Allocate workloads, set performance goals, and monitor outcomes. Conduct regular team meetings to review progress and implement improvement initiatives. Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities for team members. Provide advice and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues. Manage and resolve grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance concerns. Maintain accurate HR records, employee documentation, and data in compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards. Oversee HR administrative functions, including HR databases and reporting systems, ensuring data integrity and security. Implement and support performance management frameworks, including goal setting, reviews, and development planning. Coach managers to effectively address performance issues and support staff development. Develop and implement engagement and retention initiatives that support employee wellbeing and satisfaction. Promote and contribute to a workplace culture that reflects Disability Dynamics’ values of respect, compassion, and inclusivity. Ensure all HR activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and NDIS requirements. Stay informed of legislative and award updates (SCHADS) and provide advice to management. Qualifications and Experience The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related field and at least 5 years’ experience in recruitment or HR, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check. Current valid Driver’s Licence.
