We're looking for a Venue Manager to join the Sunny's family The venue: Sunny’s is the ultimate waterfront destination in Margate Beach. Located in The Sebel Margate Beach, with views of Moreton Bay and Moreton Island, we are a versatile space that features a restaurant, cafe and rooftop bar. We are proud members of the local Redcliffe community and love being their favourite local. Yourself: The role is primarily focused on operational excellence. We have a dedicated and motivated team that consistently delivers strong results, and we are seeking a leader who can work alongside them to drive performance. This position involves implementing and refining operational systems, developing and training team members, and monitoring operating costs and procedures to ensure efficiency and sustainability across all areas of the business. Therefore successful candidate should have the below attributes and skill-set to thrive in this position. Strong focus on shift management Excellent understanding of bar and floor operations Positive and successful people management skills Personable character and display excellent engagement with customers. A passion and eagerness for customer service with a strong drive to get the best out of the team, ensuring service runs well and our high standards are adhered to at all times. Experience in stock control The ideal candidate will be reporting to and working closely with the owners, using their proven ability and expertise to maximise profitability while directly looking after the staff on a daily basis, working with and developing them and the venue in a way that shows confidence to make the space their own with a high attention to detail. As our venue operates independently while maintaining a close relationship with The Sebel, we require someone who can effectively collaborate with an external team to ensure cohesion and seamless communication between both businesses. The role will ideally suit a full‑time role with the flexibility to work nights and weekends. Proven success in a Hospitality Management role and desire to work cohesively within a Management Team The ability to professionally supervise, train and direct staff to provide a great customer experience within our venue Strong financial acumen including rostering to labour costings and stock control (ordering, GP management, budgeting events) Strong grip on compliance and licensing Continue to build and expand on our existing loyal local audience A genuine passion for the industry, its patrons and the people that work within it Cash handling and compliance Staff management, training and development.
