We are now looking for an experienced Informix Database Administrator to join us on our journey to be the trades most valued partner. About the role This is a great opportunity to join reecetech, as a database guru, helping to support and maintain our database assets, and drive continuous improvements. You’ll provide guidance on the technical aspects of database design and usage, and will be highly regarded for your growth and learning mindset. You will troubleshoot and resolve issues and will also provide after‑hours support, supporting the performance and availability of our production systems which operate 24x7. About you The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the management and administration of IBM Informix v14.x and v15.x, and experience with database systems on UNIX/LINUX OS. Ideally you will have had some exposure to programming with Genero BDL/4GL. Experience installing and configuring IBM Informix products and tools. Proficiency with IBM Informix database tools and utilities. Experience with IBM Informix replication ER, HDR, RSS and SDS. Expertise in SQL tuning and debugging. You’ll have an inquisitive nature, with a need to know why and how things work – which makes you a great problem solver. Strong attention to detail, and happy to challenge the status quo and present new and improved ways of doing things.
