Working closely with the Centre Chef at Green Leaves Early Learning Port Macquarie, each day you can: Use your extraordinary culinary skills to support the Centre Chef in preparing a wide variety of nutritious meals and purees, as well as working to dietary requirements for babies and children. Greet our wonderful families with a big warm friendly smile each day, and wow them with your barista‑made coffees and freshly baked treats (barista training provided if needed). Provide thoughtful culinary classes alongside our Centre Chef and Educators. Ensure the highest level of food safety, by maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, in accordance with Food and Council Authority requirements and Green Leaves Early Learning Standards. Combine your amazing time management and communication skills to support the kitchen to run smoothly each day. And more Ideally, we’d love for you to hold: A current Food Safety Certificate (or willing to obtain upon commencement). A current State‑relevant Working with Children’s Check (or willing to obtain upon commencement). Current Child Protection Training (or willing to obtain). Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid certificates (or willing to obtain). Experience cooking for young children aged from 6 weeks to 6 years of age. Availability to work 20 hours per week. The willingness to step up into the Chef’s role when they are absent from the Centre from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
