This innovative approach represents a transformative shift offering a remarkable opportunity to shape the future of mental health and wellbeing in Queensland.**About you**Drawing on your real-life experience, coupled with skills learned through education and training, the Senior Peer Wellbeing Navigator, will lead a team of Peer Wellbeing Navigators to support and represent people impacted by **mental illness**, psychological distress and substance use or **addiction**.You will be comfortable to share personal experiences with program consumers within a safe and supported way and will have personal experience of a mental illness or psychological distress and **recovery**.Your **leadership** experience in the health or community services sector will be of great value in this role as well as your proven leadership and experience in working within a **mental health** or equivalent **community**-based support role with lived experience.The position may also carry a small caseload of participants, as needed, providing service navigation and linking participants to relevant therapy services.**You will also need:*** Personal Experience of mental distress and accessing and navigating health services, including mental health services* Certificate IV Mental Health Peer Work, SHARC Peer Worker Training, Intentional Peer Support or willingness to complete* 2+ year relevant work experience in a peer worker or leadership role* National Police Check* Current Working with Children Check - employment* NDIS Workers Screening check* Evidence of right to work in Australia* 100 points of identification* NDIS Workers Orientation module certificate – free online course**What we can offer you*** A purpose driven culture where people can thrive, everyone is respected, and differences are valued* An equitable, diverse, and socially inclusive work environment* Salary packaging up to $15,899 enables you to spend a portion of your salary before it is taxed to pay for things like rent, mortgage repayments, car leasing* Meal and Entertainment allowance via salary packaging up to $2,650 per annum* Paid parental leave after 12 months of ongoing employment* Access for you and your family to our Employee Assistance Program*We encourage early applications as interviews will begin prior to advertising closing date.*For a more information about the role, please email Ryan Olsen | is committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable people.
