Responsibilities Service delivery for all fitness programs. Supervise and provide direction to all Health and Fitness staff. Lead the delivery of health, fitness and wellness programs in accordance with annual plans. Oversee day to day operations of Group Fitness and Health Clubs at the Leisure Centres. Develop and manage staff rosters within agreed annual budgets. Provide regular fitness program updates and promotion for communication channels. Develop personal training and Group Fitness program. Develop and implement personal training and Group Fitness programming across the contract. Support the growth and innovation of tailored health and fitness programs. Provide professional fitness instruction to all members and guests. Engage proactively with all customers entering the Health Club. Create tailored, motivating and enjoyable fitness programs for members. Actively support member retention initiatives and identify members at risk. Promote participation in personal training, small‑group training and group fitness programs. Ensure developed programmes support a wide range of activities, including group fitness and sport and utilises community assets other than the leisure centre, parks, gardens and other facilities and programs. Maintain an expert level of knowledge of latest industry trends. Educate staffing teams on fitness trends and information. Support the delivery of health and fitness programmes in accordance with annual plans. Oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the Health Clubs, working in alignment with the broader programming responsibilities. Manage all staff working within the Health Club and ensure strong customer engagement. Be visibly present and engaging with all customers. Manage customer behaviour in line with etiquette guidelines. Welcome and educate new participants so they feel comfortable in the Health Club environment. Ensure safe use of equipment and carry out regular cleaning and maintenance tasks. Ensure all reports, checklists and procedures are completed and signed off by the Duty Captain. Prepare weekly operational updates covering health club operations, group fitness programming, staffing and member engagement. Contribute to end‑of‑month reporting, including participation data, occupancy, member insights and programme performance. Provide data insights and recommendations to support continuous programme improvement across fitness services, group fitness programming and customer experience. Ensure all administrative records, programme data and operational documentation are accurate, compliant and maintained in a timely manner. Comply with all applicable organisational policies and procedures. Oversee the evacuation of the Health Club as directed by the Duty Captain and in accordance with training. Act as Area Warden for the Health Club. Implement and document hazard inspections, environmental checks, risk assessments and corrective actions. Risk assessments to identify any hazards and take action to rectify any identified risks. Identify and implement outstanding service delivery opportunities to all customers and stakeholders. Maintain the customer charter and strive to provide outstanding service and memorable experiences. Be available to work a mixture of early morning, daytime, evening and weekend hours and undertake other tasks as directed by the Leisure Manager. Additional Information This position will work relentlessly to implement the Aligned Leisure purpose of connecting to thrive and win, values of AWARE, DISCIPLINED, RELENTLESS and UNITED, and associated behaviours throughout the entire team. All Aligned Leisure staff will understand and deliver on our customer charter.
